How to Choose Brazilian Bikini Bottoms: A Guide to Fit, Cut & Coverage

By Tita, Amazônia Beachwear | Updated October 2026

The right bikini bottom is the one that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and ready for wherever the sun takes you. At Amazônia Beachwear, we curate Brazilian swimwear for real bodies, with different cuts and coverage options to help you find your favorite fit.

Whether you love a cheeky Brazilian cut or prefer a little more coverage, here’s how to choose bikini bottoms that feel right for you.

Find your favorite bikini cut

Cheeky and Brazilian-cut bikini bottoms offer less coverage at the back for that signature Brazilian beach look. Depending on the style, they can sit lower on the hips or be worn a little higher. One example is the Structured Black Bikini Set.

High-waisted bikini bottoms sit higher on the waist and offer more coverage across the lower stomach. Back coverage varies by design, so a higher waist doesn’t always mean a fuller bottom. Try the Jacquard Bikini.

Tie-side bikini bottoms let you adjust the fit at each hip, a lovely option if you’re between sizes or prefer more flexibility. See the Sea Glass Tie-Side Triangle Bikini Set.

High-cut bikini bottoms sit higher at the leg opening, creating the appearance of longer legs while highlighting the hips.

If you have fuller hips

For fuller hips, we love adjustable bikini bottoms with side ties or adjustable metal closures. These details give you more control over the fit, helping the sides sit comfortably without digging in.

The goal is to find a bikini that follows your shape and feels as beautiful as it looks.

If you have a shorter torso

If you want to create the appearance of a longer torso, try a lower-rise bikini bottom with clean, continuous sides. A style without side ties keeps the silhouette simple, and wearing it slightly lower on the hips can visually lengthen the space between your waist and bikini.

Choose a position that feels comfortable and keeps the bottom securely in place.

If you prefer more coverage

Brazilian swimwear comes in more than one level of coverage. In our collection, our macramé bikini styles offer the fullest coverage, like the Ibiza Macramé Bandeau Bikini Set, while selected medium-coverage bikinis give you another option between a cheeky cut and a fuller silhouette.

If you’re unsure which style to choose, we’re happy to guide you through the fit and coverage of each design.

Your body, your favorite fit

You don’t need to change your body to wear a beautiful bikini. You deserve a fit that lets you enjoy the moment, from a quiet poolside afternoon to your next beach escape.
